Customer John Bell recommends Cypress tech support
When he arrived on site, John found the vehicle gate was working well, while a nearby pedestrian gate was not. The gate reader had been connected for about a decade using a Cypress Wiegand Extender, known as a Suprex. The fiber optic Suprex still worked well, but a previous attempt to install an accessory resulted in the pedestrian gate issue. To troubleshoot the problem, John called Tony Wagner, the Manufacturing and Tech Support Manager for Cypress Integration Solutions.
Like most of the Suprex product line, the fiber Suprex can connect more readers in an area when used with EXP-2000 Expansion Pairs.Talking with Tony, John realized that another product had previously been substituted for the Expansion Pairs.
John found it helpful to work with Cypress to unravel the problem, and especially appreciated Tony’s patient and calm demeanor. Tony provided a manual for the decade-old Suprex, stayed on the phone with John as he rummaged through his tool bag, and thoroughly reviewed John’s photos and responded to his emails. When an EXP-2000 Expansion Pair was found on site, the pedestrian gate was quickly up and running.
“Tony is a great tech support guy,” said John. “He’s very knowledgeable and very, very patient. He walked me through everything. Everything he said was correct, and he gave us a lot of insight to figure out the product, everything we needed to get back up and running. Let’s give this man a hand, seriously.
