LAPEER, MICHIGAN — Security manufacturer Cypress Integration Solutions of Lapeer, Michigan, announced that Clinton Bolinger has been named Executive Vice President, effective immediately. Bolinger, 43, returned to Cypress in 2025 as Director of Manufacturing and Engineering; he also began managing the company’s PCB assembly and turnkey electronics manufacturing. Bolinger had previously served in the Cypress manufacturing director role from 2010 through 2021 but left to oversee the robotics center for his alma mater, Kettering University of Flint, Michigan. “Clinton’s dedication, technical depth, and vision for operational excellence have been vital to Cypress both past and present,” said Jon Uren, Cypress President and CEO. “Having him step into the Executive Vice President role gives us strong, proven leadership as we scale our manufacturing and product development. It’s a well deserved promotion, and I’m thrilled for what’s ahead.” Bolinger, who resides in Grand Blanc Township, earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Kettering University. He worked as a manufacturing engineer before joining the staff of Cypress in 2010. In partnership with his wife Brandi, Bolinger coaches FIRST Robotics Team 2337, The EngiNERDs, out of Grand Blanc High School, a team founded by the Bolingers. The couple has regularly led workshops to help rookie teams onboard into the competitive robotics program. “Returning to Cypress felt like coming home, and taking on the Executive Vice President role is an incredible opportunity,“ said Bolinger. ”I’m eager to work closely with Jon and our team to expand our electronics manufacturing, drive efficiency, and help lead Cypress into its next chapter of growth.”
