SPX-5631
Wireless Suprex® Wiegand and OSDP Extender
with 1-mile range
If you need to install readers without dragging cable, if you are dealing with damaged conduit, or if the reader needs to connect over city streets, parking lots, or railroad tracks, use the SPX-5631 Wireless Wiegand Extender. The RF Suprex supports OSDP readers connected to the OSDP controllers, Wiegand readers connected to Wiegand controllers, or a combined OSDP/Wiegand system.
Range: 1 mile / 1.6 km outdoors with line of sight, depending on environment
For longer range, see the SPX-5641 Long-Range Wireless Extender and the RPT-5651 Wireless Repeater
How it works:
-
-
- 2 units connect to the reader/door hardware and panel, with a wireless connection in between
- Supports reader LED and auxiliary I/O signals, with dry contact relay outputs for activating doors and gates
- 2.4 GHz wireless connection uses IEEE 802.15.4 wireless protocol
- 1 relay can supervise the reader-panel connection
-
Note: OSDP capabilities have recently been added to the RF Suprex Reader Extenders (firmware v5.0.0). If a firmware upgrade is required please contact Cypress Tech Support.
